SEE IT: President Trump, Melania perform 'painful' first inaugural dance to Frank Sinatra’s ‘My Way’
Everybody do the 1-2-step.Donald Trump’s first dance with wife Melania at the Liberty inaugural ball, to Frank Sinatra’s “My Way,” was a basic dance as the President shuffled his way across the stage.
Trump has rarely been seen dancing before and fans were curious about his skills on the dance floor.
The President took no risks, though, sticking with a simple back-and-forth with his wife on his arm and mouthing along with a few words.
Vice President Mike Pence and wife Karen soon joined the First Couple, along with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, Eric and wife Lara, Donald Jr. and wife Vanessa and Tiffany and her date Ross Mechanic.
At the Armed Services Ball, the third of the night, the couple danced to "I Will Always Love You."
The Trumps separated during the song to dance with service members, one of whom stepped up his game and gave Melania a twirl.
Nancy Sinatra, the daughter of the legendary singer, recently took a jab at Trump for using her father’s iconic hit.
"Just remember the first line of the song," she tweeted.
“My Way” begins “And now, the end is near/And so I face the final curtain.”
The Silhouettes, a dance group from Denver who were runners-up in the sixth season of "America's Got Talent," performed an interpretive dance to Neil Diamond's "Coming to America." The 42-member group reenacted scenes representing the founding of the United States, including the original 13 colonies and the American Revolution.
While Trump kept his dance basic, critics still judged the President for his robotic movements.
“Oh dear ... watching Trump dance at the #InauguralBall is more painful than the punch Richard Spencer took squarely to the face,” one person wrote on Twitter.
“I think that might have literally been Trump's first dance,” said another.
